Thralume

Thralume (ThRAH-loom) is a continent in the northern hemisphere of the known world, composed of varying cultures, climates, and people. It is bordered by Acor to the West, the Waiting Sea to the East, the Kelm Sea to the South, and the Ogg Snowplains to the North. Thralume is smaller than Acor by landmass, but larger in population.

Once ruled as a whole by dragons, many locations in Thralume are named after famous dragons or words in the draconic language.

Aasimar and Tieflings

Both Aasimar and Tieflings, being descended from otherworldly beings, tend to find a home in Thralume, whether or not they were born there. Most Tieflings, however, are born there. Neither are uncommon, though they prefer not to cross paths, and many believe there is a rivalry between them.

Though on Acor Aasimar have no real society to speak of, the city of Nanth near the Northern border of Thralume was built and is ruled by Aasimar.

Catfolk

The Catfolk of Thralume mainly reside in the Qilt Woods.

Dragonborn/Lizardfolk

Descendants of the dragons that used to rule the land, dragonborn are responsible for building many of the major cities across Thralume.

Gnolls, Goblins, and Kobold

Gnolls, Goblins, and Kobold are found in small numbers all over Thralume, though they tend to stay on the fringes of society. Some find themselves settling down in larger cities and towns, Goblins and Kobold find themselves more at home away from crowds, and Gnolls consider most other species bellow them.

Merfolk

Merfolk of varying types can be found in almost any large lake in Thralume. They also reside in the Waiting and Kelm Seas, though they do not consider themselves residents of the continent and prefer to keep to themselves.

Orcs

Orcs in Thralume are nomadic, rarely staying in the same place for more than half a year.

Vampires and Were-Beasts

Vampires can be found hidden in the depths and shadows of Thralume.

Were-beasts, consisting of Werelions, Wererats, Werewolves, and Weresharks, are also not uncommon, though they mainly stay in their own societies of prides, mischiefs, packs, and schools. Packs of werelions can be found in southern Thralume, Wererats in the east and west, werewolves in the north, and weresharks in the Kelm Sea.

Other

Though elves, humans, dwarves, gnomes, and halflings are found in large numbers in Thralume, and have even built towns and cities there, they are not natives and mainly live on the continent Acor. Elven presence in Thralume is most prominent on the border of Thralume and Acor and the city Evsathelanor, while the vast Dwarven tunnel system leads from the heart of Acor to a mine in the Southwest by the Waiting Sea.
